Some people had expressed interest in the Schlage keypad deadbolt that uses a manual thumb-turn in the recent thread for the Schlage Encode deadbolt.

Lowe’s sells it for $169 and Amazon currently has it for $103.61. This is the lowest price it’s been on Amazon in the past year. You should be able to price match it at Lowe’s and have them apply an additional 10% discount for the price beat to bring it to $93.25.

If you can’t get the additional 10% off at Lowe’s, you can still get Lowe’s, HD, Rona or various other retailers to match the price. $103.61 is still a decent price for this lock.

The Amazon sale is only for the Plymouth design style in satin nickel colour, not the more popular Camelot design.

Compared to other electronic deadbolts where an internal motor operates the deadbolt, the Schlage only uses power to throw a switch that allows you to manually operate the deadbolt without a key, thus battery life is much longer. An integrated keyway also allows for a physical key to be used if you desire or if the battery is dead.
