I saw these at the Ancaster Costco today. They had a whole skid of them marked down to $2.97 a box.

Canelé de Bordeaux are a delicious vanilla and rum flavoured dessert unique to the Bordeaux region of France. Best served fresh, they have a crusty (but not dry) exterior and a moist almost doughy filling. These ones can be eaten as is, but best when warmed for a few minutes in a hot oven to harden up the outside just that little bit.

All the boxes at Costco were expired as of Oct 22, but these have a decent shelf life and are still good. I bought 3 boxes, heated them up and ate some already and pretty good. I will freeze two to see how they hold up.
