While looking up weather radios I noticed this on sale. Man this takes me back to when there was a storm while I was fishing and I had to leave the area passing open fields while with a bike to up the risk. Would have been handy to have this back then. Sure one could bail earlier but at the time the fish was biting so stayed a bit too long. This was at Milne Dam in Markham. Ended up tracing the tree lines to get out then going through the open fields.
If you enjoy the outdoors this would definitely help reduce the risk along with some prevention like taking shelter early. If you are out in the woods, hunting for pikachus, out on the water or any open area this piece of kit is portable. By the time you hear lightening you are in striking range.
