I bought this TV through systematic elimination of the competition. I had just one major technical requirement that differentiated this TV from the Panasonic which has been my go-to for plasma TVs and I wanted to buy their highest end OLED. eARC on the TV for my Sonos Arc to deliver high bitrate formats like Dolby Atmos. The Panasonic apparently could do it without HDMI 2.1 but I have come to grow wary of their dedication to firmware updates, so I passed on it for that reason alone as I don’t want to risk a flaky implementation considering HDCP is already such a b****h. Samsung backing HDR10+ instead of Dolby Vision, and QLED instead of OLED, wasn’t even in the running. LG is essentially a stripped down Sony as LG’s premium panels go into Sony TVs with the superior X1 processor and other enhancements. No discernible motion blur even compared to plasma. I bought this from Amazon.ca because they have their s**t together as opposed to Best Buy. Delivered a day earlier with no issues. My only qualm is that the sound bar, in my case the Sonos Arc, does not fit between the legs of the TV. Bummer because the Arc has upward firing speakers for Dolby Atmos and I’ve had to place it on a shelf below the TV.
