This is my first food sealer so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t want to spend that much on the name brand one since I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually use it. I saw this one on here, which had quite a few features, such as suction vacuum hose, moist and gentle options, and for a good price! | Item arrived in a nice. glossy retail box with everything well packaged inside. It came with the sealer itself, a simple instruction book, a suction hose attachment, a small 8″ wide sealing roll and 5 small pre-made bags. It also came with a red decorative “ribbon” (there is a paper that explains what it is, and it was a nice touch :-)). Basically you can take it out of the box and start using it right away. | Once out the box everything looks well made with the top being made of stainless steel. The unit does feel a bit light though so when opening the lid it may tip over backwards if you open it too quickly. One con is closing the lid requires a lot of force to latch it down. I normally have to latch each side down separately. Once latched though the bag is firmly held in place. You can then select an option (gentle/normal/dry/moist) and then either seal or vac/seal the bag. If you choose vac/seal, the unit will start vacuuming out the air. Once it finishes it automatically switches to sealing. Note the touch panel feels conductive as it does not have the “click” or feel of pressing down on buttons. So be aware you don’t accidentally “press” any of the buttons. The panel itself has light indicators to show what mode you are in. Pressing a button like “Seal” will light it up. Once it finishes sealing the light goes off to tell you it is done. It takes only a few seconds to seal. | So far the seals have been very good with no leaks whatsoever. Very happy with it and hopefully will help us reduce our freezer wastage!
