Customer Reviews:
I bought this to get into 3D printing. As a total noob, it was fairly easy to set up and get it running. There are lots of great videos on Youtube that walk you through the setup. I found the Youtube video to be more useful than the Creality one since they point out extra things to watch out for during assembly. Make sure that you check all screws to ensure that they’re tight, I found one slightly loose one. I had one issue that took a while to figure out. I kept getting stringing regardless of print temperature. Eventually the filament got stuck and I had to disassemble the hot end to get it out. That’s when I discovered that the thermistor was not installed properly, it was not positioned inside the hole (it was hanging loose not), which resulted in the hotend running hotter than expected. So you may want to check it during assembly. The glass bed works beautifully with ABS. Adheres perfectly during the print and the printed ABS piece comes off on its own once the bed cools down, no sticking at all. No ABS warpage, but I also bought the Creality enclsoure to go with the printer which help keep the heat in and window disurbance out during the print. As an aside, the Ikea Bror cart is the perfect size for the printer with the enclosure, make a great rolling 3D printing station.
