It’s very easy to install. Auto-unlock is slower than what I expected. Wifi is disconnecting itself a few times a week. Already getting low battery warning for the included first set of batteries in about a month. I’m going to spend a ton on batteries if this keeps up. I’m emailing support and will update my review if anything changes. | Oct 04 update: Problem is the lock is just not too “smart” at connecting to just the 2.4GHz of my orbi mesh network. It was just constantly trying to reconnect. You probably will not have this problem if you have different names for your wifi (e.g. Home_2.4GHz and Home_5GHz). August was nice and they sent me a complimentary August Connect as an interim solution last month. I replaced the batteries and those annoying disconnecting notfications from homekit are not showing up anymore. I’m expecting the batteries will last longer now. Hopefully August can fix this wifi issue with software/firmware updates. It’s kind of defeating the whole purpose of a wifi smartlock if I have to plug in yet another module to make it work. | The auto-unlock is still slow. I park and get out of my car; I still need to stand by my door for a minute for the auto-unlock to engage. Sometimes I need to retrieve my phone from my pocket for it to work. I don’t have anything else to compare it to since this is my first August lock.
