In my opinion, Roku has the easiest to use platform. It supports just about everything. However, they’re in a fight with Google so future YouTube support is uncertain. If it comes to this, I’m sure there will be some anti-competition lawsuit and it will return eventually.

Downsides, no USB port, no sideloading. There might still be some private apps, I haven’t tried this in years.
Anyway, think of this as a great/best option for your parents but maybe not for yourself.
Check stocktrack for local stock. In KW, only Kitchener East had it in stock. It’s possible that they aren’t inventorying it until Friday.
