FYI: There is NO time machine. A 10th gen i5 vs M1 CPU comparison is a good brain exercise but not a deal breaker at this price to SAVE $500 IMO.
FYI II: AppleCare+ for Mac extends your coverage to three years and includes up to 2 accidental damage coverage. Each incident is subject to a $129 or $ 379 service fee, plus applicable tax. In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by phone or chat.
FYI III: Similar MBA with M1 CPU is $500 more. If anyone has legacy apps that may not be certified with M1 CPUs yet and want to save $500, this is a good option. MBAs with latest Apple M1 fanless chipsets has longer battery life, 11 hrs vs 15 hrs, better performance of up to 40% (even less noticeable for average users in day to day operations). They both have same retina display and share many components. I’d buy this if it was available 2 months ago. We have multiple MBAs at home and business.
