Just picked up this SSD for the PS5. This drive is always included in the “Best PS5 SSD” lists and ranks right up there with the best of them in terms of speed. Also comes with a heatsink specifically designed for the PS5 (usually sells for about $20 on Amazon by itself), so no fitment issues or modding needed.
Not the cheapest PS5 drive ever, but this is the lowest price for this specific drive at least in the last 6-months. I’ve had my eye on this particular brand ever since I read THIS REVIEW for it:
I like a company who’s idea of “bait and switch” benefits the product and the consumer!
The only thing unclear is whether or not it requires a firmware update out of the box (for which you’ll need to install it into a PC)… it is good practice anyway to check… will update this post after I’ve had a chance to verify.
