This knife is a joy to use – our old knives did not hold an edge very well, and I was tired of trying to stay on top of sharpening them, so I researched good knives, and decided to try this and its big sibling, the 8″ chef’s knife. So happy with both – they are great knives, especially at this price. The paring knife is a bit small in the handle (seems almost insignificant as compared to most knives) but then you start cutting, and you forget about the handle!
