Starting March 18th (don’t look for sale prices to appear at the link until then)

Looks like next up in the oil sale lineup at CT is Pennzoil Platinum.

That’s right time to cash in on the rebate if you were waiting for it…

$32-35, depending on type/group, as follows:
Standard lineup: $31.99
High Mileage lineup: $32.99
Ultra lineup: $34.99
“Euro” grades: $34.99
(Conventional/non-Plat is also on sale but I dunno who uses conventional oil in this day and age.)

Sale price has been cheaper before but this is 2022 so “it is what it is” and you can get the rebate now unless you want to wait to see if there’s a better sale between now and October. In the worst case if you were getting Ultra or Euro you have:

$70- 25 = $45 or $22.50 per bottle (plus whatever extra taxes you had to pay on the original amount). Not bad.

Note you need to buy two bottles (to total 10L) in order to get the $25 GC.

The rebate is a $25 “digital gift card” for unknown things, as discussed in this thread:

And outlined here:
https://www.pennzoil.com/en_ca/promotio … otion.html

There is no mention what the gift card is for or if it’s something like a Visa or MC pre-paid card or what, just that it is “digital” Now I’m not sure how a gift card is going to be made up of digits, lol, so I think they mean an e -gift card or electronic gift card (as opposed to a physical one).

It also says you can have two redemptions per household, so looks like you can use it more than once but have to buy two bottles per rebate claimed.

I think there were actually more grades involved in the Motomaster oils which were on sale last week (ending today, the 17th), and that’s probably a better buy if buying one bottle only or looking for those fairly specific grades that aren’t here.
