Not sure if this is a regular deal for the NYT, but looking around it looks like it is usually double this.

You will be billed C$3.00 + tax every 28 days for the first 364 days.
You will have to remember to cancel at the end before it automatically renews at the regular price of $25 per four weeks, and you have to cancel via online chat or by phone.
For some reason i encountered issues paying via credit card, but using paypal seemed to work.
