[Microsoft Store] Asus ZenBook S Ultra Slim UX393JA 13.9″ 3.3k/1TB SSD/16GB DDR4/1.17kg/i7 1065G7 1.3GHz $1400 after $900 off

Well after someone who’s not too bright spilt pop all over my 5 yo laptop a few months ago, figured it was time to pull the trigger on a new one. After the requisite few weeks of research, finally found a highish end laptop at a price I liked. Since I (at leased used to…) travel a ton, light and small was a must. It only came out last Sept, but seems to have in short order been slightly upgraded with an 11th gen intel chip (vs 10th), and thunderbolt 4 ports (vs thunderbolt 3), and the newer model is the UX393 EA . Anyways, the MSRP for both seemed to be $2299.99, and found many retailers selling for that, but naturally the slightly older, and slightly worse specs on this one meant that it wouldn’t move nearly as fast at the same price, so apparently Microsoft decided to heavily slash the price from $2300 to $1400. Keep in mind that’s the only store I was able to find that did so, with just about every other retailer and even eBay selling it in the $2000+ range. Next best retail deal I could find was Costco selling for $1650 US, which is still over $2k Canadian. It’s still 1500 pounds ($2650 CAD) in the UK Asus store. One note is that it has a 3:2 aspect ratio, which might take some getting used to, but reviewers don’t seem to mind. One point of contention however, which I can deal with at this price, is that it says it has an audio jack, but it does not. It includes a thunderbolt to 3.5mm adapter.
