It is 4.5 gallon (double hot dog tanks), compact size, and very quiet. Was getting tired of my puny 1 gallon [pancake compressor that could be heard 5 houses away. I just want a good general shop compressor… mainly for tire inflation, blowing air, and other odd jobs. It does max. 150psi & 3 CFM at 90psi which should be ample. If you want to do stuff like blowing out your irrigation lines or inflating multiple truck tires in a row (ie. shop/industrial use) look for something much bigger than this.
Reviews are solid.. 7 revews @ 4.9/5 average. One reviewer said hose storage is an issue, but I can see hose storage hooks on the unit. I plan to mainly use a shorter hose with mine which should help.
Note that this is similar to the Husky from Home Depot, but that one is out of stock. Princess Auto has a higher capacity 5.5 gallon Pro Point one on sale for $329 (reg. $539) I considered, but I like the footprint of the MAXIMUM much better (and the price).
