OK, this is probably a very interesting one, if you listen to Audio books at all!!

“….Booksonic, well the short version is that it’s Subsonic for audibooks. You install a server software on your home PC and then you connect to it with your android phone and it will allow you to stream all your audiobooks to your phone regardless of if you are at home or not.

The server is completely free but the Android app will cost you a one time fee of $3 (US) …”

Then, they say: “Booksonic has been awarded the “ App of The Day ” by MyAppFree: it will be free to download from Sep 26 to Sep 28!

For us, this means a saving of $4.29. Servers are Open Source and free, a fork of Subsonic… So this Promo takes care of the price problem! (BTW, you do not need any paid apps to listen on your computer!)

Also, both Server and App you can compile yourself if you like.

Personally, I’d suggest you do what I just did: get the App while it’s free and figure server side later!
