Turns out that preorders are live as of right now for $79USD plus $10USD shipping which works out to roughly $115CAD.
As per the other thread, not everyone needs a travel router, but I wouldn’t go anywhere without mine.
Since I’m literally out of town right now, I have mine setup connected to the hotel’s wifi. There’s a captive portal requiring name and room number. Not a huge deal if you have one device, but I have 2 phones, a laptop, a steam deck, a VR headset, a Chromecast, and a tablet. I set it all up once and then authenticate once (each trip) and everything I drag around with me has connectivity.
It has a bunch of other useful features like VPN (including Wireguard) built in.
I have a GL-AR750S and if the UI is anything like that, it’s quite easy to navigate.
Limit of 100 units before it goes up $10 where there’s another 200 units then it goes up another 10 for 650 units.
Ships in July. Since it’s an established company I don’t think they’re gonna have issues delivering unlike some random product on Kickstarter.
EDIT: That was quick. First 100 is gone. Now it’s $89+10USD.
EDIT: Another one bites the dust. Now $99+10USD.
