Filtrete MPR 2200 furnace filter (blue packaging), 16X25X1 size, is $10 off package of 3 at $39.99 at Etobicoke South Costco (the QEW/Islington location, not 401/Islington location).
This is slightly higher price than the MPR 1500 (purple packaging) filter on sale. But you get better filtration.
Before someone jumps in and say this filter is too restrictive and will burn out my furnace motor, I’m also attaching photo of filter performance (printed on package) and air flow resistance for MERV12 (purple) vs MERV13 (blue) Filtrete filters. The top is the purple package, bottom is the blue package. Note the MERV 13 filter contain slightly higher pleat fold count for larger surface area. If you you have filtration performance and air flow resistance numbers for MERV 8 filters, please post it for comparison.
