Here is yet another value device for my bench testing household and yes it’s from Umidigi, Industry Canada darling with all MNO and MVNO bands supported in dual sim dual standby.
Ordered a couple, with keyboard and without, CAD pricing at $260/220 respectively is a lot lower than the realease price Alldocube dual sims we share now, and sports Android 11 with OTA updates like the A11 phones.
Easy comparisons at Kimovil, do your own DD, but the basic specs for value segment dual sim are priced right this week. This is not a gaming tablet but as with all of these MediaTek modem implementations even on slower SOCs the band support for Canada and travelling is 4G perfection (even LATAM band 28a versus Asia 28b and Asian FDD is well thought out, nothing missing for EU or Carib roaming either). Perfect for the everyday mobile global gapps, email, news, stock trading and surfing set like us. Review videos have impressive speaker output so perhaps a decent travel Spotify partner.
Screen real estate in FHD is similar to other dual sim competitors like the Chuwi or better except perhaps the unique X Neo in WXGA+. This deal is for dual sim RFD cell plan folks you know who you are.
Please no comparisons in this thread to any non dual sim tabs that’s not the use case, and no anti-China rhetoric please that dog whistle is for other boards. If there’s none of that I’ll post an honest review here next month on testing with 4 carrier plans and basic apps.
