I just bought this for myself and I’m pretty happy with it. Sells for 69.99 – 79.99 everywhere else.
I’ve listened to a few Creative products before and I’m usually pretty happy, especially for the price. I haven’t had a lot of time to play around with it yet, but no issues so far… just some nitpicks. I found that the sound was a bit flat out of the box, but there is a simple “tone” button on the remote that seems to just adjust the treble on quick listen, and just upping the tone by 1 notch seems to make it sound a lot better to my ear.
My only nitpicks are that the speaker is not angled upwards to your ears. The speaker is glossy black so it’s a fingerprint magnet. And also this speaker only supports SBC for bluetooth.
I really like that there’s a simple power button on the side and the volume wheel is digital, so it controls your device’s volume… it’s not separately controlled.
While I think it sounds good, the stereo imaging/separation and soundstage isn’t great being a compact speaker, but it fits nicely under your monitor if you’re looking for a clean setup. At 24W RMS with a passive radiator, the bass and sound is adequate for my tastes, but this is more ideal for a PC or smaller room. And if you like bass, you’ll probably want a separate sub.
Note that this is a USB audio or Bluetooth speaker… there is no aux.
