How the promo works:
“Customers shall receive a discount equal to the value of the Apple Gift Card off the price of the eligible Apple TV, but will be charged for all items in their basket, including the Apple Gift Card”
So they basically deduct the gift card price off of the original price and make you buy the gift card tax free
Example For the 64GB:
(249 – 70) + tax (12% in BC) = 200.48 + 70 = $270.48
A little bit cheaper than buying regular price and receiving a gift card which is:
249 + tax(12% in BC) = $278.88
For the 32GB:
(229 – 70) + tax = 178.08 + 70 = $248.08
Compared to: 229 + tax = $256.48
