Regular price is 30$. It rarely goes to this price. I had the cheap MIC extensions and kept loosing the 1″ bits in the screws when doing a fence – no holding power on the MIC extensions. Also during impacting, the holder separated from the hex extension on one of the cheap MIC products so in the bin it went.
Decided to spoil myself and bought both the Bosch (this link) and the Makita below.
I found the Bosch can use any bit and is a tighter hold than the MIC product. The Makita is a death grip – it can only use 1″ bits (bits with a large indent get stuck in it) and you need pliers to get even a 1″ bit out but would be great if you are framing or screwing a ton and have the issue of losing your 1″ bit in the screw.
The Bosch keeps going in and out of stock too so don’t expire the thread early.
