I ordered this to replace RAVPower’s RP-PC105, 61W (45W+15W) charger, but it was a bit of a disappointment. | I am not entirely sure if this 90W charger can do 45W power draw from both ports at the same time. | For my use case scenario, I had two 45W devices, a Surface Pro 4 on a USB-C adapter and a docked Nintendo Switch. | I was using with two different RP-PC105 chargers for each. | I wanted to reduce some clutter by going with this single 90W charger, but it didn’t work. Well okay, one device would work, but the other would not. The docked Nintendo Switch would, 100% of the time, fail to stay powered when the Surface pro 4 was connected to this charger. It didn’t matter which port either device was plugged into. | Both worked flawlessly from a RAVPower’s 45W (RP-PB159) power bank, as well as the 45W connector on the RP-PC105 wall chargers, so presumably, each device only pulls up to 45W of power. | So, my guess is that the Nintendo Switch dock is somewhat sensitive to its “45W” demand and requires some overhead room. The Nintendo Switch dock works fine on this 90W charger when the other device has lower power demand, like a smartphone. | Everything else about this device is still fantastic. The build quality is amazing. It’s the same size as the 61W two port charger. It now even comes with a 1.6M (63in) USB-C to C cable that has its own organizing velcro.
