Dewalt’s cordless impact wrench is big, heavy, and works. | It can virtually replaces a pneumatic wrench. It’s actually more powerful than most of the lower cost pneumatic wrenches. The power it has is just beastly. Being even more powerful than the dewalt pneumatic ones. Its nothing like any previous battery powered wrench. It’s a bit bulky, and the weight will eventually get to you. But most people will appreciate the convenience before the weight issue comes into play. | The multi speed feature makes it feel like kind of a toy. It does adjust the force, but as the force is not fixed to a specific value it doesn’t really serve a purpose. These features are completely negated by the fact that i have a finger and using it makes the 3-speed switch pointless. | The light is a nice feature. It’s positioning makes it useful about half the time. Snap on has a ring light which I think is far more useful. The light is not a bad feature but it’d be more useful if it was adjustable. An off switch wouldn’t be bad either. But it’s better to have it than not. | I’ve used the cordless Makita, Milwaukee and this impact and they are very comparable to each other in terms of size and user experience. You can’t go wrong wrong with any of the them. | It’s an excellent evolution in terms of cordless tools showing that modern electric motors and batteries have evolved to the point where they are able to effectively compete with other more established technologies.
