Was looking for a drill press but found this cheap substitution. Seems ok for the weekend warriors and casual woodworking.

240 holes in 2 hours! 1/4″ Forstner bit with a 1/4″ shank. Making a pegboard to hold my wife’s sewing spools. My standing drill press doesn’t have a throat deep enough, so I went looking – found this delightful tool. For what I asked it to do, it was the perfect tool. Easy assembly. Adjustments to slide stop and angle of drill held throughout the project. The angle adjustment is not infinitely variable – but it is positive. There is slight movement of the assembly, but once the bit started there were zero problems. 3/8″ chuck makes sense; this is not an industrial tool. I’d probably go 4.5 stars, but a 4 is too low.
