I’ve owned a larger assortment of mice then I’d care to admit, including most recently the G403 and G703 (basically the same the G403, just wireless). The Pro mouse *crushes* them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve “upgraded” my technology, only to come to terms with the fact that the new thing is no better, and sometimes worse. But with this Pro mouse, it was an immediate and significant step up. I was actually shocked by how much more natural and comfortable it felt than any other mouse I’ve used. I thought it might feel too small for my hands, since I’m used to palm-gripping chunkier mice, but I immediately felt comfortable switching to more of a claw grip with this smaller mouse. I think its biggest asset is that it’s so *light*. The weight of a mouse never even occurred to me as a relevant consideration, but now I’m obsessed with it. | I think the only possible way you could improve on this mouse is to make it wireless (which exists, but for like three times the cost), or perhaps to make it even lighter. I think paying for wireless is a bit silly, given the price gap – instead, spend fifteen bucks on a bungee, forget that the wire is there, and never worry about recharging. And in terms of a lighter mouse, there *isn’t* a significantly lighter mouse from the major manufacturers. The smaller shops that make the ultra-light mice are all back-ordered. | Which is all to say, this is peak mouse. For a mass market mouse, it doesn’t get better than this. And on top of that, it is on the cheaper end of the gaming mice range. It’s a no-brainer.
