With six kids in tow my parents certainly couldn’t afford to buy variety packs of cereal – opting instead for Volkswagen-sized bags of oats to make porridge. So I’ve always longed for a pantry full of impractical cereal choices! Back then, visits to Grandma and Grandpa’s house were punctuated by the excitement of choosing your own variety pack cereal, following the directions to create the box-shaped cereal bowl, and carefully pouring your milk right into the package. Exciting times for a six year old with the best grandparents around! | So I had to buy these for nostalgic reasons… and because I still secretly love Corn Pops and Fruit Loops but can’t bring myself to add them to my ‘grown up’ grocery cart with avocados, kale and quinoa. These all tasted fresh – with an expiration date 8 months away – and they were fun to eat too, so I’ll definitely order them again!
