Don’t hesitate to buy this unit. It’s a little tricky for one person to hold up and lock it into place but it can be done. Works great and chews up anything I’ve been able to throw at it. I love the unit. It’s tough, it’s quiet and it wasn’t too hard to install. I had to buy a tail piece to fit my plumbing. I also installed an electric power switch beneath the sink to make it child proof. ( a child cannot run the unit and have his/her hand in the unit at the same time when the switch is under sink). You will need to buy electrical parts and 14/2 household wire. Does not come with it. The tail piece can be bought at any hardware store for a few dollars.
