Customer Reviews:
I got this during Amazon prime days as it was an amazing price. With everyone attending online classes or working from home it’s impossible to find a good Chromebook in stock in Canada. I jumped on this as soon as I saw it. 8gigs of ram and an i3 processor is amazing. None of this mobile Celeron or Mediatek processor shenanigan’s. It also lets me connect 2 external monitors (via 2 USB C dongles). | Most importantly, it’s Auto Update Policy date (End of life/OS update support) is 2028! Not many ppl pay attention to the fact that all Chromebooks have the equivalent of an expiration date when they stop receiving OS updates. There are a lot of cheaper Chromebooks on the market that say they are brand new, but actually came out 1-2 years old and can hit their EOL relatively soon (2024!). Always check the Google Chromebook Autoupdate page before purchasing one! Google ‘Chromebook Auto Update policy’ and search by manufacturer and device model. | So far the only minus on this model is the small hard drive, but for Chrome OS 64 GB is actually a lot and it’s easily expandable via micro SD. Also, with Chromebooks it’s important to know that there’s no real good solution to disable your camera via the OS or software. With this HP, you simple slide the switch to off, and if an app tries to access your camera, the LED flashes red to tell you it’s trying to be accessed. Sure you can get one of those sliding webcam covers, but HP adding this functionality is really great. Speaking of the webcam, it’s pretty good, as most other Chromebooks have terrible webcams. | I’m really happy with this purchase as, I has previously bought an Acer 715 with slightly better specs which I loved, but $500 more. This price to quality ratio for this HP x360 14c was a homerun.
