This was a wedding gift for my new husband. At first I was highly skeptical. Having played the Dark Souls Video game once and being royally trounced within minutes I wasn’t sure I had any desire to play a board game based on that soul-defeating series. To my delight the game is fun! It’s enjoyable to work together and overcome seemingly impossible odds. We played for four hours straight and didn’t even notice the passing of time. | The rules took some time to process but in the end we didn’t find them overly difficult! My advice is to just jump into the game AS you’re reading the rules. That worked well for us. | We ran into one small snag. Our box contained two copies of monsters and no heroes! But as soon as I realized the problem I contacted Steamforged and within hours they had responded and were dispatching the missing minis. I must say I am very impressed with their customer service AND their game. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Steamforged game!
