It is installed on my laptop (Eurocom Tornado F5) which does not properly ventilate M.2 slots and it hits high 80 degrees during long reads/writes. Other M.2’s I installed in the same area barely hit mid 60s during the same long transfer task. I recommend not installing this M.2 with a thermal pad if there is low ventilation, as this will hold the heat longer. | Temperature readings in Celsius: | Long reads/writes (400gb transfer) with thermal pad and laptop max fan: 88 degrees and rising (had to pause the transfer for it to cool down). | Long reads/writes (400gb transfer) without thermal pad and laptop max fan: 79-83 degrees | Idle temperature with thermal pad: 65-69 degrees | Idle temperature without thermal pad: 45-52 degrees | Max temp while gaming (Forza Horizon 3) without thermal pad: 79 degrees (hits this occasionally for a second but it is usually in idle temp range)
