Nothing too special but a good deal on a highly rated ice pack and a recommended brand from Cook’s illustrated. Sale is only on the 1.5 pound ice pack. Lowest price so far according to CCC.

We bought these for summer trips with our cooler and we were not disappointed. It keeps food colder than other ice packs or bags of ice. They cost more but they haven’t leaked over time like the cheap ice packs that we’ve used in the past. | They get really cold, so don’t leave them directly on delicate food for extended periods of time, or you can almost get a freezer burn. We got the small sizes (0.75 and 1.5 pound) because they fit better around the food. The hole at the top provides a convenient way of handling them without touching the really cold surface.
