So I’ll start off by saying I’m new to the world of USB Cable cables. I had gotten fairly used to buying a bulk number of 10′ to 15′ micro usb cables for dirt cheap, around ~2$ each. They wouldn’t last long but they did their jobs and I was happy when they last longer than 2 months. | With all of that being said I was rather hesitant to drop nearly 20$ with tax on a single cord. Time will only tell if this cord will last longer, but everything about the cable screams durability! I had read a couple reviews that had said the cable was about as thick as an extension cord, to my surprise when I opened the box it is. I audibly laughed to myself. It’s kinda insane, don’t think I’ll ever have to worry about the cable part failing. | When it comes to the USB connections themselves, they feel incredibly sturdy and rugged. This is the failure point for every other cable I’ve had. I can’t comment on how long it will last, but if it lasts a year I’ll be more than pleased. | I bought this cable September 15th for my Note 8. Brand new phone needed a solid cable for it and it charges the same as the cable in the box. It’s now September 26th and it’s still functioning as expected. I’ll update if it ever fails me. Who knows maybe Anker will replace it if it ever fails too.
