I bought this so I could have an external display and wired network connection. It works perfectly with my MacBook Air M1. One thing to note, and the listing is clear about this, but you should know it – the new MacBook Air’s support only one external monitor, yes you can install Displaylink and do some trickery, however that trickery does not work with this device. You can have two monitors plugged in but they display the same image. So that would be useful if say you wanted to have one monitor for you to see and another monitor for say a class to see – but this is not going to work to have independent displays. That being said, if you want a hub for ethernet, hdmi, usb and provide power to your laptop – this is a great product. I am very happy with it.
