I really like these short cables for traveling because they’re compact and are too short to get tangled. This one has a very high-quality feel. It is a thick, fairly rigid cable. Verified full speed charging at 5V/3A on my Nexus 6P. I don’t have any Thunderbolt drives to test, but it transfers at full speeds on my Surface Go to an external SSD in a USB 3.0 enclosure.
