I came across this deal while looking to redeem 100K Aeroplan for some sun vacations next Winter. The deal is really good as the retail price for these tickets is >$2K/pp. If you book for two people, you are looking at ~$3.5K value for 100K points. If you book from YYZ, the price is the same but you’ll have to connect through YUL. Direct flights from YUL-FDF starts on November 6th with 2 flights per week on Saturday and Tuesday. As for the destination itself, I think it’s far more interesting than your typical Caribbean island.
