Just noticed 1Password’s cashback rate on TopCashBack went up to 50% now, compared to GCR’s 16% and rakuten’s 12.5%. I think it has to be 1password.com, not .ca .
EDIT: nvm, don’t think giftcards are eligible, so it’s just paying for subscription. You can probably buy their normal discounted $125USD giftcard for $99USD and also get 50% cashback, so net pay is $49.50 USD. Personal individual subscription is normally $3/month + tax so $125 gets you about 3 years worth of subscription, which comes out to $1.3-1.4/month depending on tax. Or, you can just sign up for a year of subscription to get 50% cashback.
Topcashback also has a 50% off family plans coupon that’s stackable with 50% cashback.
I’m not sure if they’re still doing it, but If you bought 1password standalone license in the past, I think you can email them telling you’re interested in signing up for subscription and they’ll give 50% off first 3 years or $99 for $150 giftcard. Not sure how it will stack with cashback websites. EDIT: nvm giftcards most likely aren’t eligible.
OR, as many people here will probably comment, just go with bitwarden as their free version is just as good, even their premium version is only $10/year. I’ve never used it, still on 1password 7 standalone license.
